Travel through time with the Flux Capacitor right on your GameBoy Color!!

Note: Will not actually allow you to travel through time. I patched that functionality for safety reasons.

This is the Game Boy Color port of the Pocket Paradox app Back To The Future: Flux Capacitor that was removed from the app store a couple years back. I created this ROM to give you that same fun again!

I, nor the app, are affiliated with Pocket Paradox or Universal Pictures/Amblin Entertainment whatsoever. This app was created for entertainment purposes only.

You choose between three modes, each based off a film from the trilogy:

  1. Plutonium (Back to the Future)
  2. Fusion (Back to the Future II)
  3. and Steam Train (Back to the Future III)

When you enter the Flux Capacitor, you can press SELECT to bring up the Time Circuits. You may enter in a DATE or DATE/TIME in the red row of digits (Destination Time). For example:

  • To get November 5th, 1955, type in 1 1 - 0 5 - 1 9 5 5. (will automatically assume time is 12am)

In addition to a date, you can enter a time as well.

  • To get October 21st, 1985 at 1:21am, type in 1 0 - 2 1 - 1 9 8 5 - 0 1 - 2 1.

Note that if you want to do PM times, you have to type in Military times. For example:

  • To get October 21st, 2015 at 4:29pm, type in 1 0 - 2 1 - 2 0 1 5 - 1 6 - 2 9.

To travel in time, press SELECT to go back to the Flux Capacitor and press B.(If you are in Plutonium or Fusion mode, you may have to press A to reset before you begin again.)

To see the present time, press SELECT to go back to the Time Circuits and you should now see that the Destination Time (in red) is now the Present Time (in green).  The Present Time also operates in REAL TIME!* So you can see how long you spent on your time!

Make sure you try every mode to see the different animations it brings up!

If there are any problems with this app, please let me know. I promise, every comment counts!

THINGS TO NOTE:

  • The clock speed may not be accurate, so you should not rely on this as a clock.
  • The clock will only function when the app is running. It will suspend your time, but not save past that time when it's not in use. (If there is a way to save suspended time in battery, please let me know. But I think it's impossible due to the aging hardware.)
